Come and Try
You now have 2 weeks to come out to the club and try Little Athletics. When your two week period is coming to a close, you will be sent another email reminding you that your Come & Try is about to expire and to continue at the club, you will need to register for a season membership. On arrival report to the Club Rooms. Here you will be greeted by our friendly registration team and have your name ticked off and an information briefing will be provided to all the parents. While this is happening, your athletes will join in on the warmup. Once this has concluded you will move around the meet with your athletes’ group, where they will have their Little Aths experience. Feel free to ask questions of other parents along the way to find out more about each event and how you can help out in the weeks to come.
Who can Participate in Little Atheltics?
Little Athletics is for children aged 3-17 years. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome to join to develop their basic motor skills or running, jumping and throwing. TINY TOTS Children aged 3-4 (sometimes 5) will be in a group called ‘Tiny Tots’. This is a modified program that is designed to develop the children’s fundamental movements of running, jumping and throwing through fun and enjoyable activities. The aim of the program is to improve the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children through a play-based approach that is engaging and stimulating. NOTE: A child MUST be 3 years of age before they are able to participate in Little Athletics. AGES 5-17 All above ages are grouped into their own age brackets (Under 6, Under 12 etc.). These athletes will participate in different running, jumping, throwing and walking events on a week to week basis.
